Corsair Performance Pro Series 2.5 Inch 256 GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (CSSD-P256GBP-BK) After trying many ssds and none of them living up to their hype, I bought this product.It’s Marvell controlled and all the others I tried were Sandforce,this has the best all around consistant performance I’ve been looking for. I get almost 900 on the AS SSD benchmark tool.Very reasonably priced too.Amazon thank you for your patience with me,I am a huge fan of yours!

When I was looking to purchase a solid state drive for my computer, I spent weeks agonizing over whether or not I should purchase a Sandforce based drive, or keep it safe with a Marvel based controller (such as the one in this drive) or something else. While most SSD’s at this point in time are over their early bugs and other problems, I wasn’t sure I wanted to bite into the Sandforce world and regret it in the end. So while you may sacrifice some total benchmark read/write speed (Sandforce drives can read around 550 M/b a second, this drive does 510 M/b), you aren’t going to really notice any sort of difference in loading your games, programs, or booting your system.I started my drive from scratch with a fresh install of windows 7 – note that the drive does not come with any drive copy or ghosting software. No issues with setup, no firmware to update, and the drive was posting the reviewed ATTO benchmark speeds. With that, my computer now boots in 14 seconds from POST to being able to be used.Overall, I am very pleased with the drive, and I have always loved Corsair products for their function and their support. Overall, purchasing this drive will make any computer feel faster and more modern, and there are no issues with reliability or speed.

This is my first SSD and I researched for months prior to spending the money. I was going to get the Crucial M4 like everyone does, but I wanted something more. I have not been disappointed in any way, installed my windows 7 ultimate in NO time, loads windows and turns off in matter of seconds.
