My desktop is about 18 months old and was butch at the time and I don’t get the max throughput out of it, but it is very fast. It took FOREVER, however to figure out how to get windows to work and the key was that NO RAID could be configured in the intel raid bios. Once I turned all the raid off and moved to Windows RAID (RAID via Windows), it worked fine.
